At Electric Works, electrical contracting is more than just wiring. We take pride in our honesty, integrity, and strong communication, as well as our meticulous craftsmanship. We are passionate about helping individuals with dreams of making the world a better place through art, food, and sustainable practices. Based out of the Woodstock Neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, we enjoy collaborating on projects with our community. We believe everyone should be able to see their ideas come to life!

Our current President, Jeremy Loraas, started at Electric Works, Inc. just after high school as a material handler. Through hard work and determination, he worked his way through the electrical apprenticeship, became a general journeyman electrician, and by 2006 he became an Oregon electrical signing supervisor and partner to the original owner in Electric Works, Inc. For 20 years, he’s always put the company and it’s customers first. Today, as the sole owner, he’s proud to continue this work alongside his two sons.

In 2026, Electric Works, Inc. made the decision to fully restructure to live a slower, yet simple way. We now are focusing our talents on collaborating with local small businesses and on custom residential projects. To the future, we are striving towards renewable energy and ways to live off grid. In their free time, Jeremy and his sons enjoy converting vintage cars to EV’s and hope to bring that division of the company to life someday.—it’s about powering progress, supporting local industries, and building lasting relationships. Founded in 1985 as a small, family-run business rooted in quality and precision, we’ve grown into a trusted name throughout the Portland area. Over the past four decades, we’ve sharpened our expertise, embraced new technologies, and refined our approach to meet the evolving needs of commercial and residential electrical work.
